10TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS

Ashbourne Singers will be celebrating their 10th Anniversary with a special concert in St John’s Church Ashbourne on Saturday 10th June.   The special Anniversary Concert will be looking back over the 10 years with a wide variety of music.  Previous members and guest artists are being invited to perform with the Singers.   Steve Duckworth, our Musical Director, is looking to contact anyone who has previously been a member of the Singers.  If you are interested in taking part please contact us directly or complete the contact form by clicking the link HERE

MUSICAL DIRECTION & ACCOMPANISTS

Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings at either St John’s Church or the Methodist Church in Ashbourne during term time. The junior choir rehearses at 6.00 pm till 7.00 pm the adult choir at 7.30 pm till 9.00 pm.

Membership of the choir is open to anyone who wishes to sing.  Auditions are not required but the ability to follow music is a great advantage. There are currently around 70 adults and 30 children in the choirs.

Our concerts take place in a number of venues and include performances by the adult choir, adult and junior choirs together, individuals and small groups.  Each year there are two main concerts; summer and Christmas. We take part in local festivals, support local charities and perform on request at various locations, such as local churches.
